Versatile Stair Mould for Winding Precast Stairs
The Combicaster by Construx-Weckenmann is a modular stair mould system specifically designed for the top-down casting of winding (turning) stairs. With its dual-profile panel design and flexible configuration, the Combicaster offers a cost-effective and space-efficient solution for producing straight, left-turning, or right-turning staircases, all within a single mould system.
Dual-Use Panel Design for Maximum Flexibility
Each panel in the Combicaster system is engineered for bi-directional use:
- Side A: Features a straight timber profile to which 18 mm plywood strips can be nailed, ideal for traditional step geometry.
- Side B: Features a steel cut-back profile, designed for use with magnetic triangular chamfers—perfect for producing cut-back or nosed steps.
This allows the same panel to be used for a wide range of step types, stair turns, and design variations.
Adjustable Tread Depth
- Goings adjustable between 155 mm–195 mm or 160 mm–200 mm
- Magnetic chamfers accommodate cut-back steps up to a maximum overlap of 40 mm
System Configuration & Setup
Panels are:
- Stacked vertically
- Clamped and propped using included accessories
- Spaced wide enough to provide safe working areas on both sides
