The Upcaster by Construx-Weckenmann is an innovative stair mould system that allows precast stairs to be poured in their final, upright position—exactly as they will be installed on site. Built on a robust, adjustable ramp structure, the Upcaster provides a stable casting platform, simplifies mould setup, and enables fast and accurate adjustment of all stair and landing elements.

This system is ideal for extra-wide stairs, double stair units, or any precast application requiring stairs to be formed in installation orientation.

Real-Position Casting on a Ramp

Unlike traditional horizontal or upside-down stair moulds, the Upcaster forms stairs on an inclined ramp, replicating their final installation angle. This ensures:

• True-to-position pouring
• Minimal handling after demoulding
• High dimensional accuracy
• Easier planning for site installation

Fully Adjustable Formwork System

All core movements are carried out using electric motors, precision spindles, and chain drives—allowing quick, synchronized adjustments of:

• Ramp angle
• Top landing panel height and position
• Base levelling

The bottom landing panel remains level throughout, while the top landing panel is supported by a solid, height-adjustable structure that guarantees safe working conditions and precise angle alignment.
