Construx created for a Polish client 3 fixed beds for filigree floor production, 30 metres long.

Efficient production equipment plays a crucial role in the precast concrete industry, particularly for manufacturers of filigree floor elements. To support a Polish customer in expanding its production capacity, Construx designed and supplied three fixed production beds specifically engineered for the manufacture of filigree floor slabs. The installation combines robust construction, integrated vibration technology, and heating systems to ensure consistent product quality and efficient production workflows.
What are the dimensions of the filigree production beds?
Each production bed was designed with a length of 30 metres and a width of 2,500 mm, providing ample space for the efficient casting of filigree floor elements. The generous bed dimensions allow manufacturers to optimise production output while maintaining high dimensional accuracy throughout the casting process.
Both sides of every bed are equipped with fixed side-forms featuring a 70 mm high tapered and chamfered profile. The specially designed side-forms contribute to accurate concrete shaping while ensuring a clean and consistent finish on every precast element.
How is concrete compaction ensured during production?
To achieve high-quality concrete consolidation, each production bed is fitted with 12 electrical vibrators. Every set of vibrators is connected to its own dedicated control cabinet, allowing operators to manage the vibration process accurately and independently for each bed.
The integrated vibration system improves concrete compaction, helps eliminate air voids, and contributes to the production of durable filigree floor elements that meet demanding quality standards in the precast concrete sector.
Why are heating systems integrated into the production beds?
All three production beds are equipped with hot water heating pipes, providing controlled heat distribution throughout the casting process. The heating system supports concrete curing and helps manufacturers maintain stable production conditions throughout the year.
By integrating heating technology directly into the beds, the production line can achieve greater operational efficiency while supporting reliable concrete quality and predictable production schedules.
How was the production capacity expanded after installation?
Following the successful commissioning of the production line, all three beds were extended to further increase manufacturing capacity.
Bed 1 was expanded from 30 metres to 48 metres, adding an additional 18 metres of production length. Bed 2 received the same extension, increasing its total length from 30 metres to 48 metres. Bed 3 was extended even further, growing from 30 metres to 51 metres through the addition of 21 metres.
The extended production beds provide significantly more casting surface, enabling the customer to manufacture larger volumes of filigree floor elements while maximising the utilisation of available factory space.
How do the extended production beds benefit filigree floor manufacturers?
The combination of three heated production beds, integrated vibration technology, and increased bed lengths creates a highly efficient solution for filigree floor production within the precast concrete industry. The installation offers a total production length of 147 metres after extension, supporting higher output, improved operational flexibility, and consistent product quality.
By combining robust engineering with scalable production capacity, Construx delivered a solution that allows the customer to meet growing market demand while maintaining efficient and reliable manufacturing processes.
