Battery mould accessories

For a Belgian client, Construx made 3 bibat battery moulds with hydraulically moveable panels and bases.

For precast concrete manufacturers, flexibility in production is a key factor in being able to manufacture different product dimensions efficiently. To meet this need, this plant comprises one Bibat Type A and two Bibat Type B units, each designed for a wide range of product dimensions and rapid changeover between production runs.
The Bibat Type A features two production pockets, each 14 metres long, enabling the efficient production of long precast concrete elements. Thanks to an adjustable discharge width ranging from 250 millimetres to 1,000 millimetres and a stroke ranging from 240 millimetres to 1,040 millimetres, the plant can be easily adapted to a wide range of project requirements.
When using 150-millimetre-high steel base profiles, the Bibat Type A achieves a pouring height of 1,000 millimetres. Hydraulic systems handle both the movement and locking of the panels and ensure precise height adjustment with a stroke of 600 millimetres, which significantly reduces changeover times.
In addition to the larger Bibat Type A, the line also comprises two Bibat Type B machines, each equipped with two 14-metre-long pockets. The Bibat Type B is specifically suited to the production of smaller precast concrete elements thanks to an adjustable pouring width of 140 mm to 500 mm and an adjustment range of 100 mm to 550 mm.
When using 150 mm high steel base profiles, the maximum pouring height is 800 mm. As with the larger version, the panels are moved and locked hydraulically, whilst a hydraulic height adjustment with a stroke of 550 mm ensures efficient and ergonomic operation.
The combination of one Bibat Type A and two Bibat Type B units offers a high degree of flexibility for precast concrete manufacturers. The different adjustment ranges make it possible to manufacture both compact and larger concrete elements at the same production site. Hydraulic operation of the panels speeds up changeovers between production runs, whilst the adjustable discharge widths and heights contribute to the optimal utilisation of production capacity.
