Folding pallets with open frames

Hydraulic tilting system for double wall production
The Folding Pallet System by Construx-Weckenmann is a fully hydraulic, precision-controlled formwork solution for the production of precast double walls. Designed to ensure a high level of automation, accuracy, and safety, this system enables efficient 180° folding operations for two-stage concreting of wall elements.
Ideal for precast plants producing double-layer sandwich walls, the folding pallets offer smooth tilting motion, consistent concrete quality, and seamless integration into production cycles.
The folding mechanism is powered by bearing blocks on each side, equipped with two hydraulic cylinders. Through a combination of synchronized push-and-pull movements, the system achieves a controlled 180° rotation.
Day 1 – First Half-Shell on Folding Side
The first shell is shuttered and concreted on the folding table.
Vibrators (if installed) ensure optimal compaction.
Clamping profiles with central hydraulic clamping secure the hardened shell to the table.
Day 2 – Second Half-Shell on Fixed Side
The fixed table is hydraulically raised, and socket bolts are inserted into mandrels to define wall thickness.
The second shell is shuttered and concreted on the fixed table.
Folding & Merging
The folding side is rotated 180° using the hydraulic system.
The inner table (built into the base frame) is lowered vertically by 100 mm, allowing precise immersion of the hardened shell into the fresh concrete.
Once the half-shell is embedded, clamping is released and retracted, and the table is raised again.
Return & Next Cycle
After folding back, the empty table side is immediately available for the next casting cycle.
